Rodeo Circle Park
Rodeo Circle Park is the first major project delivered as part of the Hualapai Moving Forward program.
It is a place for the entire community to come together, play, have fun, right here in Peach Springs without driving to drive all the way to Kingman. Amenities include a volleyball court, basketball courts, horseshoes, playground, splashpad, soccer field, skatepark, baseball fields, concessions and ceremonial plaza.
The opening of Rodeo Circle Park was timed to coincide with the annual July 4th celebration. The park opened a little more than one year after ground was broken on the project
Hualapai Veterans Park
Work is now officially underway on the new Hualapai Veterans Park which commemorates the wartime sacrifices of almost 300 tribal members whose service dates back to before World War I.
The centerpiece of the park will be a lighted steel cone, similar to an eternal flame. English and Hualapai words evoking the bravery and heroism of these men and women will be cut into the sculpture. At night it will cast reverse shadows on the ground around the sculpture.
A nearby stone marker will be inscribed with the names of 286 veterans. Another will include the seals of each of the six branches of the United States military. More than a dozen trees will shade the park which will also preserve a long-standing peach tree at the site near Peach Springs on Route 66.
The park is scheduled to be completed and open to the public by Veterans Day on November 11.
