Hualapai Water Rights Pipeline

While construction of the Hualapai Water Rights Pipeline is still years away, preliminary preparations for the federal permitting and environmental compliance process are currently underway.

When completed, the pipeline would allow the Tribe to access approximately 1.3 billion gallons of water from the Colorado River each year. The hard-fought water rights were allocated to the Tribe as part of a 2022 settlement with the federal government.

The proposed pipeline would allow the Tribe to diversify its water supply portfolio, helping to create a reliable, sustainable water supply and make economic development at Grand Canyon West viable.

An exact alignment for the pipeline hasn’t been decided and would be determined in consultation with federal agencies and in accordance with federal requirements.

Truxton Aquifer Water Well

The Truxton Aquifer Well will serve future development and provide a back-up for downtown Peach Springs in the future. Additionally, it will enhance the current water supply and provide redundancy.
